The Musetec Audio (LKS Audio) MH-DA004 Mini DAC is a miniature version of the highly acclaimed DA004 Ultimate DAC. It retains the core of the DA004 Ultimate including but not limited to the Crystek femtosecond clock, the unique Class A discrete output circuit, and multi-channel ultra-low noise power. It uses one ESS ES9038pro DAC chip, has a built-in CSR bluetooth module that supports APTX, and comes with a full feature remote control. It has 6 sets of AC power supply that comes to a total of 12 sets of linear regulated power supply design. For inputs, it supports AES, coaxial, optical, USB, single-ended I2S, and balanced I2S.
The MH-DA004Mini is available in two configurations. First is the USB standard version that includes the Italian Amanero USB module and has a common active crystal. Second is the USB upgrade version that uses two Crystek CCHD-957 ultra-low time base jitter active clocks to make the sound field wider and the sound more vivid, full and transparent. For those who use the USB to connect to a computer, we recommend you purchase a USB upgrade. The difference between the two versions is only in the USB, the other components are exactly the same, with the USB not affecting the performance of any other interfaces within the DAC.
