Meet the JT3: Open-Back Headphones with an Inline Microphone

The JT3 is an open-back headphone with 50mm dynamic drivers, PEK+PU composite diaphragms, and a detachable cable with an inline microphone. Its driver assembly combines N52 magnets with lightweight voice coil materials, while angled drivers and perforated alloy grilles support a spacious presentation. Washable velvet earpads and an adjustable metal headband accommodate music listening, calls, and gaming.

Composite diaphragms with controlled movement

Each 50mm driver combines rigid PEK with flexible polyurethane to balance structural strength and low moving weight. A brass damping ring helps control unwanted diaphragm breakup, limiting movement that can introduce distortion. The large diaphragm provides the surface area needed to move air for low-frequency reproduction.

The voice coil assembly uses a TIL former made from glass fiber and polyimide for strength and heat resistance. Copper-clad aluminum wire combines a lightweight aluminum core with a conductive copper exterior, reducing moving mass. N52 magnets supply the magnetic field that drives the assembly.

Open earcups and angled drivers

Perforated aluminum-magnesium alloy grilles allow sound to pass through the backs of the earcups, reducing pressure buildup behind the drivers. The open construction supports the JT3’s broad soundstage, while the alloy helps keep the outer shells light. The drivers sit at an angle to follow the contours of the ears and direct sound toward them. This positioning also helps manage airflow within each earcup.

Washable pads and repeatable fit adjustments

Velvet earpads surround memory foam cushioning and detach for washing or replacement. The fabric resists wrinkling and wear, making the pads easier to maintain through regular use. The stainless steel and zinc alloy headband uses ball-bearing sliders with defined adjustment positions, so you can return to a preferred fit. The JT3 weighs approximately 11.6 ounces (330g) without its cable.

A replaceable cable with an inline microphone

The included cable uses palladium-plated 4N oxygen-free copper and connects to the earcups through dual 3.5mm TRS plugs. Blue and red markings identify the left and right connections. An inline microphone and controls accommodate calls and gaming alongside music playback.

A compatible replacement cable allows connection to single-ended or balanced sources. The package also includes a storage pouch and a 3.5mm-to-6.3mm adapter for additional audio equipment.
