NEW: XDUOO DP-10 DIGITAL MUSIC TRANSPORT

a new hub for modern digital listening

The xDuoo DP-10 is a digital music transport designed for modern listeners who mix local archives, streaming services, and network storage. Built on a quad-core ARM Cortex-A55 processor and running Android 14, it provides fast access to high-resolution files up to PCM 768 kHz and DSD 512. Its purpose is singular: deliver a clean, uncolored digital signal to any DAC or amplifier through a wide range of professional-grade outputs, including USB, coaxial, optical, HDMI, AES, and IIS.

A transport built for signal purity

The DP-10 focuses entirely on digital output rather than digital-to-analog conversion. Each circuit stage receives power through its own low-noise LDO regulator to minimize interference. The master clock uses an ultra-low-phase-noise jitter-grade crystal oscillator, maintaining accurate synchronization across all digital paths. By isolating each module and optimizing current delivery, the DP-10 produces a stable bitstream free of spurious noise and time-domain distortion.

Android 14 as an audio platform

At its core is a customized build of Android 14, stripped and tuned for audio performance. The interface is simple, with two display orientations—landscape for rack use, portrait for desktop use—and quick access to playback controls. The OS bypasses Android’s standard sample-rate conversion, allowing bit-perfect streaming from applications like TIDAL, Qobuz, Apple Music, and Spotify. Paired with 8 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage, navigation remains fluid even with large libraries and multiple streaming apps active.

Lossless streaming and wireless casting

Network streaming is handled over Wi-Fi and LAN with support for DLNA, AirPlay, and QPlay protocols. Casting from a phone or PC sends audio in its original resolution, preserving HD and DSD formats across the network. For users running network-attached storage or home servers, the DP-10 functions equally well as a client or source, maintaining lossless playback without additional conversion stages.

Broad digital connectivity

The rear panel offers comprehensive digital outputs—USB, coaxial, optical, HDMI, AES, and IIS-LVDS—supporting both PCM 768 kHz and DSD 512. The IIS output follows a standard pin definition for easy pairing with external DACs. Whether integrated into a two-channel reference system or used as a transport in a mastering room, the DP-10’s signal integrity ensures consistency across devices.

Storage options for large libraries

Local music collections are supported through multiple storage interfaces. A reserved M.2 NVMe SSD slot accepts drives up to 4 TB, offering fast, quiet operation compared to external hard drives. Additional options include a USB port for flash drives or HDDs and a micro SD slot (up to 2 TB, FAT32/exFAT/NTFS). For listeners maintaining extensive FLAC or DSD archives, the DP-10 allows direct playback without reliance on external computers.

CD playback and archival

When paired with a USB CD drive, the DP-10 can either play discs directly or rip them to local storage. This function preserves the full digital content of a disc while allowing users to catalog and organize their physical media digitally. The process produces an identical digital copy—no compression, no resampling.

Decoding and file support

While primarily a transport, the DP-10 includes decoding capabilities for verification and playback. It supports lossless and high-resolution file types including WAV, FLAC, APE, AIFF, DXD, MQA, and DSD (DSF/DFF/ISO). Maximum decoding reaches PCM 768 kHz and DSD 512. For those who maintain varied digital collections, this breadth ensures compatibility without conversion or third-party software.

Bluetooth 5.4 for wireless convenience

A Qualcomm Bluetooth 5.4 module supports LDAC, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, AAC, and SBC codecs. It can transmit or receive, enabling wireless output to headphones or speakers and wireless input from a mobile device. LDAC and aptX HD allow high-bit-rate transmission for near-lossless playback—useful for quick listening or mobile integrations without a wired connection.

Designed for practical use

Despite its capability, the DP-10 remains compact and easy to integrate. The 5.5-inch HD touchscreen provides responsive control for playlists and system settings. Paired with its companion mobile app, users can mirror the interface on a phone or tablet, manage files, and control playback remotely. A full-metal chassis and quiet thermals allow placement in both studio racks and desktop environments without noise intrusion.

Who it’s for

The DP-10 suits listeners who already own a high-quality DAC or integrated amplifier and want a reliable, low-noise digital transport. It’s ideal for system builders running networked libraries, users who alternate between streaming and local playback, and engineers who require bit-perfect output for measurement or mastering chains. It doesn’t chase coloration—it chases precision.
