Did Your CP01 Arrive Defective?

NOOIR puts each CP01 Mechanical Keyboard through a rigorous quality control procedure. Read through the standards below. If your unit fails to meet these standards, reach out to Apos customer service.

Metal Appearance QC Standards:

  • Defects must not exceed 0.5mm in size, with no more than 3 defects, and none should appear on the front surface. From a viewing distance of 30cm, the appearance surface should have no visible machining marks, scratches, or dents.
  • All appearance parts should fit together perfectly and be assembled without any wobbling noise after screwing them in place.
  • Aluminum alloy PVD should have no obvious white spots (less than 0.5mm in diameter). Under strong reflective light, extremely slight ripples and a small number of dimples may be visible, but the surface should feel smooth to the touch.
  • On the A surface, 4-6 points with a diameter of 0.4mm are allowed, spaced no more than 5cm apart. On the B surface, 6-8 points with a diameter of 0.4mm are allowed, spaced no more than 3cm apart.
  • Non-appearance surfaces are not subjected to high-precision polishing and may have shallow, neat machining marks.
  • Stainless steel/copper PVD parts must have no more than two visible points smaller than 0.1mm from a viewing distance of 30cm.
  • Painted surfaces are allowed to have a slight orange peel texture (as the painting process cannot guarantee 100% smoothness). The surface should not be scratched by a fingernail and should feel smooth and silky to the touch.

QC Standards for Non-Appearance Internal Metal Parts:

  • Shallow, neat machining marks may be present.
  • Internal surface treatment points should have a diameter of less than 3mm, with no significant height differences.
  • There should be no obvious dents inside, and minor scratches should be less than 5mm in length.
  • On non-appearance sections of metal parts, recessed corners may show slight color variation from localized PVD or anodizing processes.
