It shifts between roles easily, letting you decide how and where you want to listen. The transparent window gives you a clean view of the disc, and the aluminum body keeps everything solid in the hand.

High-voltage lithium battery for real portability

A 4700mAh, 3.85V lithium battery powers the player for roughly seven hours. Because the battery operates at a higher voltage, the analog circuitry maintains strong output swing and clean performance even when you’re away from your desk. Charging is quick—about two hours with PD3.0 fast charging—so you can keep it ready for spontaneous listening.

FiiO’s discrete R2R DAC for a natural sound

At the heart of the DM15R2R is Fiio’s self-developed R2R DAC. Instead of a conventional delta-sigma architecture, it uses a resistor ladder to convert digital data into analog waveforms. That translates to a smoother, more organic style of playback many listeners prefer. The player also delivers low noise and distortion—THD+N under 0.030% at 1kHz, and a signal-to-noise ratio of at least 112dB—so quiet passages stay quiet and dynamic passages stay bold.

Balanced and single-ended outputs that fit your listening style

You get both 3.5mm single-ended and 4.4mm fully-balanced headphone outputs, each backed by dedicated amplification. The balanced port offers up to 1150mW per channel in desktop mode, while the single-ended port gives you a lighter touch for efficient models. Line-out options are equally flexible, with both 3.5mm and 4.4mm outputs designed for use with amplifiers or active speakers.

Bluetooth when you want to go wireless

If you want to step away from cables, the DM15R2R can transmit Bluetooth to your favorite wireless headphones or speakers. Supported codecs include SBC, aptX, aptX-HD, aptX-LL, and aptX-Adaptive. It’s a simple way to listen to your discs without being anchored to a cord. Useful for cooking, pacing your living room, or any situation where cables can get in the way.

ESP anti-vibration support for steadier playback

The ESP switch stabilizes playback when the player moves or shifts. It reduces the chance of skipping while walking or carrying the unit from room to room. Once you’re settled at your desk or on the couch, you can leave it on or off. The player handles disc reading reliably either way.

An infrared remote for hands-off control

If the DM15R2R is across the room, the included infrared remote gives you basic transport control without grabbing the unit. Skip tracks, pause, stop, or adjust output modes while you stay put.
