The FiiO FA7s is an in-ear monitor driven by six balanced armatures. With a stunning medical-grade steel construction, a sophisticated crossover system, and an arsenal of accessories, it accommodates a wide range of ear shapes and music genres in a strong and stylish chassis.
Six balanced armatures
Unlike a traditional IEM that handles the entire frequency range with a single driver, the FA7s splits the frequency range among six drivers. The result is greater speed, accuracy, and detail. The low-frequency and high-frequency drivers are made by Knowles, while the mid-frequency driver is a custom unit exclusively made for FiiO.
Expertly separated three-way crossover
Splitting the frequency range among six drivers isn’t an easy thing. Once split, drivers naturally produce frequencies above and below their designated range, creating redundancies which overemphasize certain frequencies over others. To prevent these redundancies, the FA7s uses a three-way crossover system, keeping each driver in its “lane” and ensuring even representation across the whole frequency range.
