Keith Jarret - The Koln Concert. Really enjoyed this video about it

Started listening to 100 years of Solitude audiobook.

Also started watching Bosch. I really like the character’s taste in music and his audio setup. Patricia by Art Pepper is one of the songs that sticks with me.

Black Country, New Road - Forever Howlong (Album)
Unlike the band's previous release, which was easy to categorize (Springsteen meets Slint meets a wildly adventurous brass section), the new album with new lead singer Georgia Ellery is more difficult to pin down. Baroque, post-rock, proggy without the navel gazing, Pile playing a Ren Faire--it's a lot, and pretty much always very good.

Make Noise - Multimod (Eurorack Module)
Imagine being able to take control voltage and get 8 variations from a single control voltage with varying phase relationships, speed playback variations, and voltage range variations. You can with Multimod. It allows you to build unfathomably complex relationships between voltage sources, which get even more powerful and interesting when introducing randomness into the CV inputs. This week has been an exploration of quantization - taking the related CV outputs, running them through O_c’s Quantermain, and getting endless generative melodies and harmonies.

I've been doing some grading in the yard and discovered one of the previous owners must have buried a barn out there based on how many nails and various pieces of metal I'm finding. So me and my 5 year old have been deep diving on electromagnets, and I'm on the prowl for an old dead microwave now so I can convert the transformer into a big metal finder. Hopefully before I lose a tire or two.

Recently was reading about "Rendering the Simulation Theory". There is an entire community of Japanese artists who make shaders with character limits. A hashtag of #つぶやきGLSL that is definitely "random niche community of enthusiasts pushing the boundaries of artistry" is fun to dive into. Yohei Nishitsuji from the above article has a website where he shows his love of math and philosophy as it combines with this form of art. It's weird, this is all math & computer generated but I appreciate it infinitely more than AI slop in art, which is also just math & computer generated.
