The X16 uses two of the latest ESS SABRE chips, the ES9068AS, which is capable of MQA full expansion decoding. It has an XMOS XU216 processor, two ACCUSILICON femtosecond crystal oscillators, supports native DSD 32-bit PCM, and all of its COAX/AES/OPT/IIS support MQA hardware rendering.
