The Maxwell 2 takes what made the original Maxwell a go-to wireless headset and makes it even better: audio quality, comfort, stability, and control. You get Audeze’s 8th-generation 90mm planar drivers with patent-pending SLAM™ acoustic technology, upgraded FILTER™ A.I. mic processing, improved sidetone, and new customization options like magnetically-attached earpads and replaceable earcup covers. The rebuilt Audeze app for desktop and mobile ties it all together with deeper control over EQ and communications.

SLAM™ acoustic technology

The Maxwell 2 adds patent-pending SLAM™ technology—introduced on models like LCD-S20 and CRBN2—to increase spatial precision and tighten up low-frequency impact. In practice, that means more stable imaging, cleaner separation, and punchier bass response without turning everything into a blur.

8th-generation 90mm planar drivers

The Audeze’s 90mm planar magnetic platform returns with an updated driver generation built for clarity and control. Uniforce™ diaphragms, Fluxor™ magnet arrays, and Fazor™ waveguides help Maxwell 2 stay fast and detailed with complex game audio, and it supports high-resolution playback up to 24-bit/96kHz whether you’re wireless or wired.

Upgraded comfort for long sessions

Comfort gets a real update based on community feedback: a wider, ventilated suspension strap spreads weight more evenly, and the new replaceable earpad design increases internal space to better fit a wider range of ear shapes. Earpads attach magnetically for quick swaps, so pad replacement is simple and tool-free.

Stronger wireless stability with low latency

The Maxwell 2 improves RF performance and stability with an ultra-low latency USB-C dongle designed for lag-free gaming. This keeps audio locked to the action and keeps the connection dependable across long sessions.

Bluetooth 5.3 with LE Audio and LDAC

Bluetooth 5.3 brings modern wireless flexibility for phones, tablets, and handhelds, including support for LE Audio and LDAC. AuraCast support is included for compatible devices, with more details to come as supported hardware and use cases expand.

Simultaneous wired audio and Bluetooth

The Maxwell 2 supports simultaneous USB audio (wired) and Bluetooth, plus simultaneous AUX audio (wired) and Bluetooth. This makes it easier to stay connected to a second device for calls, chat apps, or background audio without constantly re-pairing or switching inputs.

Clearer chat with upgraded FILTER™ A.I. microphones

Mic performance is improved with revamped processing that doubles the bandwidth of the original Maxwell. FILTER™ A.I. noise suppression is also upgraded with multi-mic support, helping reduce distracting background noise while keeping speech clearer for chat and streaming.

Improved sidetone fidelity

Sidetone was a common community request, and Maxwell 2 addresses it with improved fidelity and a drastically reduced noise floor. The result is more natural mic monitoring that’s easier to leave on without hearing a constant hiss underneath your voice.

New Audeze app for desktop and mobile

The all-new Audeze app expands control over EQ, mic tuning, sidetone, and other headset behavior across desktop and mobile. Save profiles, dial in your preferences, and manage settings without relying on one-size presets.

Customization designed to evolve

The Maxwell 2 is built to be more customizable than the original, with magnetically attached earpads and replaceable earcup covers that can be produced in a variety of formats, including 3D-printed options. Limited-edition drops are planned, making it easier to personalize the headset over time.
