Closed-back reference headphones

The Laguna Precision is a lightweight closed-back headphone designed for home listening, travel, studio work, and shared spaces. Its 35 mm ULM-35 cellulose-cone dynamic driver, dual S-shape reflex port system, machined aluminum housing, and low 12.7 oz (360 g) weight combine isolation, extended bass response, and efficient operation across portable and desktop sources. 

Closed-back isolation

The Laguna Precision uses a closed-back acoustic architecture to reduce outside noise and maintain a more isolated listening environment. The design suits commuting, focused work, studio monitoring, and listening around others without relying on active noise cancellation.

Controlled low-frequency response

A dual S-shape reflex port architecture works with the AURI-400 Controlled Response enclosure to extend bass response down to 10 Hz. The system is tuned for deep, tactile low frequencies while maintaining control through the rest of the audible range.

ULM-35 dynamic driver

The newly developed ULM-35 uses a low-mass cellulose cone with a compliant surround to deliver an energetic, detailed response with controlled bass and low distortion. Its 110 dB/V efficiency and 36Ω impedance make the Laguna Precision suitable for a broad range of sources, including portable players, mixing consoles, and home audio systems.

Natural spatial presentation

The driver sits forward inside the ear cup and approaches the ear at an angle. This positioning is designed to engage more of the outer ear and create a spacious presentation while retaining the isolation and low-frequency impact of a closed-back headphone.

Lightweight comfort

At 12.7 oz (360 g) without its cable, the Laguna Precision is designed for extended wear. A spring-steel Pro headband works with a textured TPU comfort strap to distribute pressure, while memory-foam ear pads wrapped in sheepskin provide a compliant seal around the ear. Vegan velour pads are available upon request.

Machined aluminum construction

The outer enclosure is CNC machined from solid aircraft aluminum and anodized for durability and rigidity. Nylon, aluminum, and PETG components support the headphone's lightweight structure, while the slim acoustic enclosure keeps the overall profile compact for stationary and portable use.

Made in California

The Laguna Precision was designed and engineered by Auribus Acoustics in California, evolving from the original Sierra C.R. Closed Concept project that began in 2023. Its new driver, enclosure, and exterior architecture place greater emphasis on portability and acoustic isolation while establishing a design direction for future Auribus headphones.
