High-Resolution Bluetooth Audio Receiver BR15 R2R DAC

The BR15 R2R is a wireless HiFi receiver built for listeners who want to ditch cables. It brings Bluetooth 6.0, true lossless codecs, and a fully differential 24-bit R2R DAC into a single, compact component you can drop into an existing system. Use it with active speakers, a favorite amplifier, or an external DAC. Once it’s in your chain, you can stream freely and hear your library in a new way.

Qualcomm Bluetooth and lossless codecs

Featuring Qualcomm’s flagship QCC5181 chip, the BR15 R2R supports LDAC, aptX Adaptive, and aptX Lossless. You get up to 2.1Mbps of wireless bandwidth—enough for CD-quality, lossless transmission with stable detail retrieval. Pair your phone or tablet and listen without feeling tied to your chair.

LDAC and aptX Lossless for modern listening

If your speakers or amplifier don’t support advanced wireless codecs, the BR15 R2R fills that gap. With LDAC and aptX Lossless decoding onboard, streaming video, films, and long listening sessions take on a cleaner, richer character. It brings modern wireless standards to older chains, and gives newer chains room to breathe.

Bluetooth 6.0 with extended range

Bluetooth 6.0 brings stronger interference resistance, lower latency, and a wider usable range. The external antenna keeps the signal locked even when you’re moving around the room. You can cue tracks from the couch, or from across the space, without dropouts interrupting the moment.

Fully differential 24-bit R2R DAC

At the center of the BR15 R2R is a proprietary quad-channel, fully-differential R2R DAC. Each channel uses 48 precision thin-film resistors—192 total—with 0.1% accuracy and low temperature drift. The result is a darker noise floor, a smoother background, and the kind of texture R2R fans love. You can run the DAC in NOS or OS mode, depending on the character you prefer.

Bluetooth, USB, coaxial, and optical decoding

The BR15 R2R fits into all kinds of listening chains. You can switch between Bluetooth, USB, and SPDIF (coaxial/optical) whenever you need. Hook up a phone, a laptop, a CD transport, a television—whatever you use day to day. The device adapts quickly and doesn’t anchor you to one source.

Analog and digital outputs for easy pairing

Two RCA outputs, one XLR output, and both optical and coaxial digital outputs give you a lot of freedom. Connect to active speakers, feed an external DAC, or run directly into an amplifier. It’s simple to reconfigure as your system changes.

Global PEQ and AUTO EQ tools

A global 10-band PEQ lets you shape the sound across all modes. Through FIIO’s app, you can load presets or build your own curves. You can simulate or correct the frequency response of your gear, and export or share curves with others. AUTO EQ makes the process even easier—just sync your headphone’s profile and target curve, and let the algorithm handle the fine points.

Fully-balanced signal path

From the R2R DAC through the low-pass filter and volume control, the entire signal chain is fully-balanced. Noise stays low, distortion remains controlled, and dynamics stay wide. A built-in pop-noise suppression system keeps power-on and power-off transitions quiet.

AC/DC dual power supply support

Inside, a high-quality switching supply keeps the BR15 R2R stable under normal use. You can also plug in an external 5V DC supply—ideal if you keep a linear power supply on hand. When DC power is connected, the device automatically switches to it, letting you explore different power profiles and sonic characteristics.

Custom color display

A 1.47-inch LCD screen gives you track information, volume, sampling rate, EQ status, and more. When paired with a compatible Bluetooth source, you’ll also see lyrics. It’s a clean way to check your chain at a glance.

Control from near or far

Dual knobs and a front display make close-range operation quick and intuitive, especially at a desk. For listening across the room, you can use the included infrared remote or the FIIO Control app to make adjustments without getting up.

A lot of can take 20 min. To get it to read cd

"This has a lot of features some I've haven't tried. Because I'm scared to it's so fussy. If you get it to play don't change a thing. When it plays it sound very good, loads cds fast, and you can brag about all the tech stuff but getting it to play may take 20 minutes or just wait till Tomorrow. Sometimes you can just go from CD to CD like any other player. Then other times even with the same cd it's just not going to play. Fiio says send to China and theyll look at it. I don't want to learn how to export just so they can look at it. Is anybody else having this kind of problem and did you fix it ?"

"I'm really happy with my BR15. Love the fantastic textured sound. I wish the knob brightness could be adjusted through the app or remote though. This is an unfortunate omition."

Lossless streaming

"Used this to be able to connect my phone to a 1970's Marantz receiver via bluetooth. It works flawlessly. Connection is quick. The additional connectivity is also handy. The lossless quality out of apple music is finally being streamed properly instead of hitting a resolution bottleneck caused by lower quality pieces. Happy camper here."

Love the BR15/app not so much

"Fiio Control mobile app has limited features. I wish that I could adjust knob LED color and brightness level from the app for my BR15 R2R."

Very happy with my purchase

"I'm using this BR15 as a DAC for my Wiim Pro (using optical connection). The BR15 is then connected to a 70wpc tube integrated amplifier using RCA. I briefly owned the K11 R2R, but it had dropout issues, so I got this. I am very satisfied with it so far. Setup is easy and straightforward, menu is easy to navigate, and build quality is excellent. Based on my subjective experience as compared to Wiim Pro without external DAC, I feel like this BR15 has a more authoritative low frequency response, greater separation of instruments, and an overall smoother response. I look forward to testing it out with other amps and speaker combos I have around the house."

Very impressive, one glitch

"Been impressed with the sound quality out of this unit. I was unaware that it is a variable volume unit only, would have liked to see a line out option (constant voltage). However that makes it perfect for someone pairing with powered speakers or monitors. This along with your phone, or a laptop, and monitors. . . And it's a complete system. I remain unconvinced with apt-X lossless. . . . There's no way to tell when that supposed 1. 2 megabit stream is happening. In my attempts so far, LDAC forced at 909 kilobits sounds better. . . . Think I'm done with apt x entirely. This unit reverted to Chinese after my first use. Was very frustrating but customer service was quick to get back to me multiple times, to get it resolved. Cheers on the great customer service!"

I’m really starting to like the BR15 R2R DAC

"I’m really starting to like my BR15 R2R DAC and am using it as my DAC in my stereo set up. I’ve been A/B’ing it against my High End Tube DAC and they almost sound identical. I purchased the BR15 just to sample what R2R is capable of without breaking the bank and if I didn’t already have my TUBE DAC I would have probably been totally satisfied with the BR15, it’s a great sounding unit for the price. After trying all the inputs I personally found I get my best sound through coaxial being it sounded a little warmer without any loss of detail or transparency. A few short comings to note and hope Fiio will address. (1)You can’t access the menu through the remote, you have to bounce around the menus using the front dials. The menus are great by the way… (2)The EQ works great, just the app itself could drive ya nuts… It moves around and does not stay in place when making frequency settings while accessing the app via an iphone making it almost impossible to precisely dial in the sliders being they slide erratically to the slightest touch. Then once you make your changes there’s no way to return to the EQ app’s home screen other than having to close out the app and restart. It’s my opinion FIIO needs to make it simpler when to save the EQ settings you just created being it’s less than intuitive. I do have to say though, the EQ’s pre sets sound pretty spot on and you’ll probably find a preset that work out for you anyway. None of these are deal breakers being the unit sounds great even with the EQ off with almost no need to EQ anyway. APOS was EXCELLENT, responded quickly to my inquiries and shipped the unit quickly and would certainly do business again with them in the future. Overall an EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE all around with both the BR15 R2R and APOS and HIGHLY RECOMMEND both !"
