Gaming audio with virtual 7.1 surround and 60W charging

The FIIO SNOWSKY MAGE is a portable USB DAC and headphone amplifier with dedicated music and gaming modes. A 400MHz processor handles eight independent audio channels and virtual 7.1 surround processing, while microphone noise reduction helps keep team chat clear. Support for PCM up to 32-bit/384kHz, native DSD256, and 10-band parametric EQ gives it flexibility for music, too. Dual USB-C ports let you listen while charging a compatible device at up to 60W.

A processor built for game audio

MAGE uses a SpaceTouch SPV6040D controller running at 400MHz. Its multicore NPU and DSP architecture provides peak computing power of up to 100 GOPS for audio processing. The architecture is designed to reduce sound-effect latency and keep audio synchronized with the action on screen.

Virtual 7.1 surround for directional cues

Eight independent audio channels work with a virtual 7.1 algorithm to create a spatial presentation through headphones. The processing helps convey the direction of footsteps, effects, and other in-game sounds. Enable or disable virtual surround with a double press of the multifunction button.

Four game profiles for different ways to play

Game mode offers tuning presets for FPS, MOBA, RPG, and rhythm games. The FPS profile emphasizes separation between footsteps and gunshots, along with distance cues. MOBA tuning brings attention to skill effects, while the RPG profile emphasizes spatial layering across dialogue, ambience, and combat. Rhythm-game tuning strengthens bass and beat definition.

Music playback up to PCM 384kHz and native DSD256

Switch to HiFi mode for music listening, with seven built-in sound profiles and support for custom tuning. MAGE decodes PCM up to 32-bit/384kHz and native DSD256, letting you play high-resolution files through its wired headphone outputs.

Adjust the sound with 10-band parametric EQ

The FIIO Control app provides a visual interface for adjusting MAGE’s 10-band parametric EQ. Shape the frequency response to suit your headphones and listening preferences, then save your tuning profiles for later use.

Charge your device while you listen

Separate USB-C audio and power connections allow audio playback and charging at the same time. The POWER IN port supports PD fast charging at up to 60W, helping keep a compatible phone powered during longer sessions. Actual charging power varies with phone compatibility.

Connections for headphones and team chat

MAGE includes a dedicated microphone input, a headphone output, and a headset output that supports headphones with a microphone. Microphone noise-reduction processing helps reduce interference during team chat. A dedicated mute button gives you direct control over your microphone, with an indicator showing its status.

Precision components in the analog circuit

High-precision metal-film resistors keep left-right channel gain error below 0.1%. Low-ESR tantalum capacitors support ripple-current handling and power-supply stability. MAGE specifies a 105dB A-weighted signal-to-noise ratio and 0.004% THD+N.

Gamepad controls in a pocketable body

Inspired by classic handheld consoles, MAGE places volume and track controls on a directional pad. Its multifunction button handles playback, virtual surround, and switching between Music and Gaming modes. Separate indicators show the active mode, virtual surround status, and microphone status. At approximately 0.53 ounces (15g), it is easy to carry, with Trans Black, Trans Green, and Gray finishes available.
