Portable balanced DAC/amp with replaceable battery

The FiiO Snowsky is a nano-sized Bluetooth and USB DAC/amp that slips into a pocket yet drives serious headphones. Dual Cirrus Logic CS43131 DACs, up to 220mW of balanced power, LDAC high-res Bluetooth, and a hot-swappable battery system turn this tiny tape-inspired box into a flexible hub for phones, computers, consoles, and car audio.

Nano-sized body, serious power

The Snowsky is genuinely small — about 2.17 x 1.48 x 0.54in (55.1 x 37.5 x 13.7mm) and only around 1oz (28.3g) — so it disappears into a pocket or hangs off a lanyard without getting in the way. Inside, two CS43131 DAC chips feed dedicated amps that deliver up to 220mW per channel from the 4.4mm balanced output at 32Ω and 100mW from the 3.5mm single-ended jack. That means plenty of clean volume for portable headphones while still staying cool, quiet, and easy to carry every day.

Bluetooth and wired modes made simple

Power on with a single touch, then quickly switch between Bluetooth, computer, and phone modes with a double press of the multi-function button. Use it wirelessly with your phone or tablet, or plug in via USB Type-C to turn it into a driver-free USB DAC up to 96kHz. That quick switching makes it practical to bounce between a laptop at work, a phone on the train, and a console in the evening without fighting menus.

Retro sound presets with DIY tuning

Eight built-in sound presets include retro-focused tunings that lean into the “old tape” vibe, softening edges and adding warmth for classic rock, vocal jazz, and older recordings. When you want to fine-tune things further, you can use the companion FiiO Control App or web tools to adjust EQ and sound parameters in detail. Save your own voicings so the Snowsky follows your taste instead of locking you into one default sound.

Dual headphone jacks and inline control support

Two headphone outputs cover most portable gear without adapters. The 3.5mm single-ended jack works with everyday IEMs and headphones and supports CTIA in-line remotes for volume, play/pause, and mic input, so you can take calls and jump into voice chat without swapping cables. The 4.4mm balanced jack unlocks the full 220mW output for more demanding headphones, giving you more headroom and control while keeping the noise floor under 1µV and the output impedance under 0.3Ω.

Endless power with replaceable battery

The Snowsky uses a replaceable 3.7V rechargeable lithium cell, compatible with 10440-style batteries, for about 7.5 hours of play per charge. When it runs low, you simply swap in a freshly charged battery and keep listening. No downtime, no waiting on the wall charger. A full charge takes 2 hours or less at 5V/1A, so it’s easy to keep a spare charged in the included battery storage case.

USB-powered when you do not want a battery at all

For desk use, car use, or speaker duty, you can run the Snowsky directly from USB power with no battery installed. The Type-C port powers the device and handles audio at the same time — just plug it into a computer, car head unit, or USB power source and it comes to life. When USB is unplugged, it powers down automatically, which is handy for installations where you want it to follow your car or computer’s power state.

High-res Bluetooth with serious codec support

A Qualcomm QCC5125 chipset handles Bluetooth 5.1 with a full suite of modern codecs, including SBC, AAC, aptX, aptX HD, aptX Low Latency, aptX Adaptive, and LDAC. Both Bluetooth and USB modes support up to 96kHz high-resolution audio, so you’re not stuck at phone-grade quality when streaming. Low-latency codec support also helps keep audio in sync for gaming and video, while LDAC and aptX HD give higher-bitrate options for music listening.

Car mode, game partner, and desktop sound card

The Snowsky is built for more than just pocket listening. Car mode — covered by patent no. ZL201710563549.5 — lets it wake and sleep with your vehicle, adding Bluetooth audio and better DAC performance to older head units. As a computer sound card, it cleans up laptop audio for music, video, and calls. In phone or computer mode with consoles like the PS5 or Switch, it becomes a compact game partner, handling both music and voice. It can also feed active speakers over its headphone output to turn them into Bluetooth speakers.

Retro UI, colors, and stickers

The design leans into nostalgia without giving up usability. A 0.96in 80 x 160 color IPS display hosts animated UIs, including a tape-style interface that simulates spinning reels as music plays. Classic white and blue color options provide a clean base, and the included sticker sets let you customize the shell for a more vintage or playful look. A lanyard hole gives you the option to wear or hang it, making it easier to grab in daily use.

Button layout and daily control

The front panel keeps essentials within easy reach. Dedicated next and previous track buttons also handle volume and submenu navigation, while a play/pause button manages playback. A multi-function button switches operating modes, flips between UI themes, and enters or exits the menu. A clearly labeled display, power button, mic opening, and visible 3.5mm and 4.4mm jacks make it easy to glance at the device and know what every control does.
