Gustard R26II network DAC

The Gustard R26II is a full-size desktop network DAC designed for high-resolution digital playback without adding unnecessary components. It combines USB audio, LAN streaming, Bluetooth, and multiple digital inputs with fixed balanced and single-ended analog outputs. Support for external clocking, wide PCM and DSD compatibility, and measured noise and distortion figures make it a practical centerpiece for a home audio system.

Integrated network streaming

The R26II includes a built-in LAN streamer that allows music playback directly over Ethernet without requiring a separate network transport. High-rate PCM and native DSD are supported over the network, which makes it easier to place the DAC close to your amplifier rather than near a computer. This approach reduces device count and keeps signal paths straightforward.

High-resolution USB and digital inputs

The USB input supports PCM up to 32-bit/768 kHz and native DSD up to DSD512, with operating system support for Windows, macOS, iOS, and Linux. Additional digital inputs include AES/EBU, coaxial, optical, and I²S. The I²S input extends PCM support up to 32-bit/1536 kHz and native DSD up to DSD2048 when using DSD Direct mode.

Bluetooth with LDAC support

Bluetooth 5.1 provides a wireless listening option for situations where convenience matters more than a wired connection. LDAC support enables transmission up to 96 kHz, and the DAC also supports AAC, SBC, aptX, aptX LL, and aptX HD. This makes it easy to play music from mobile devices without additional hardware.

Balanced and RCA analog outputs

The R26II provides fixed-level balanced XLR and single-ended RCA outputs for connection to headphone amplifiers, preamps, or integrated amplifiers. Output levels are set at 5.0 Vrms for XLR and 2.5 Vrms for RCA, with a 100-ohm output impedance on both. These specifications help ensure predictable gain matching with downstream equipment.

External clock input

A dedicated 10 MHz BNC clock input allows the R26II to synchronize with an external master clock. The input supports 50-ohm impedance and accepts both CMOS square wave and sine wave signals. This feature is intended for systems where clock control is handled at a higher level.

Measured performance

The specified frequency response is 20 Hz to 20 kHz within ±0.2 dB, with a dynamic range greater than 117 dB and a signal-to-noise ratio above 122 dB. THD+N is rated at 0.003 percent or lower at 1 kHz, and channel crosstalk measures better than –134 dB. These measurements indicate low noise and stable channel separation during playback.

Desktop-ready chassis

The full-width aluminum enclosure is designed for shelf or rack placement and includes vibration-damped feet. Front touch controls manage power and basic navigation while maintaining a clean front panel. The R26II is available in black or silver to integrate visually with other audio components.
