Dual ESS, Balanced, and Portable

The iFi Audio GO link 2 Max is the most powerful model in the GO link lineup. Designed around a fully-balanced dual ESS DAC architecture, it adds a dedicated 4.4mm balanced headphone output with up to 280mW of power at 32 ohms. Combined with PCM 384kHz and DSD256 support, Dynamic Range Enhancement technology, and Nexis app customization, the GO link 2 Max is built for more power, better separation, and balanced headphone performance from a compact USB DAC and amp.

Built around balanced architecture

The GO link 2 Max uses two ESS Sabre DAC chips in a balanced dual-mono configuration, with one DAC dedicated to each audio channel. This design improves channel separation, reduces noise, and preserves low-level detail in complex recordings. 

4.4mm balanced output

The dedicated 4.4mm balanced headphone output gives the GO link 2 Max substantially more drive capability than the standard GO link 2. With up to 280mW at 32 ohms, it can maintain stronger dynamics and better control with a wider range of headphones and in-ear monitors.

S-Balanced 3.5mm output

For standard headphones and earphones, the GO link 2 Max also includes iFi’s S-Balanced 3.5mm output. This circuit applies balanced design principles to a single-ended connection, reducing crosstalk between left and right channels by roughly half for cleaner, more focused playback.

Greater dynamic range

iFi’s Dynamic Range Enhancement technology adds up to 6dB of extra dynamic range, expanding the contrast between quiet and loud moments. 

Lower distortion

The GO link 2 Max uses DAC-level optimization to reduce total harmonic distortion by more than 50% compared to the original GO link. Combined with the balanced signal path, these refinements support cleaner conversion and more accurate playback.

Nexis app control

The iFi Nexis mobile app adds firmware updates and customizable digital filtering for Android users. This gives the GO link 2 Max practical long-term support and lets listeners adjust filter behavior without using desktop software.

Signal-focused cable design

The integrated cable uses silver-plated copper conductors in a twisted configuration. This construction helps preserve signal purity between the USB source and DAC while keeping the GO link 2 Max compact and easy to carry.
