fully-balanced Class-A Pre-amplifier

The Ladder Chopin is a fully discrete, pure Class-A line-stage preamplifier designed for transparent analog signal control. Built around a microprocessor-controlled 60-step relay attenuator, it combines precision channel matching with low distortion, balanced and single-ended connectivity, and a robust linear power supply. Its compact aluminum chassis is available in silver or black and is designed to integrate easily into high-performance two-channel audio systems.

Precision relay volume control

The Chopin uses a microprocessor-controlled, relay-based 60-step attenuator instead of a conventional potentiometer. Precision-matched resistors maintain accurate channel balance throughout the volume range while reducing distortion and preserving signal integrity.

Pure Class-A fully discrete circuitry

A fully-discrete Class-A analog circuit provides unity gain with low distortion and wide bandwidth. The differential output stage offers balanced operation with improved common-mode noise rejection for long cable runs and compatible balanced components.

Balanced and single-ended connectivity

The rear panel includes two balanced XLR inputs and one RCA input, allowing easy integration with multiple analog sources. Balanced XLR and single-ended RCA outputs provide flexibility when connecting power amplifiers or downstream components.

Linear power supply

A 65W toroidal transformer works alongside multiple independent regulated power supplies and premium capacitors to deliver stable, low-noise power to the analog circuitry.

Compact aluminum construction

The aluminum alloy enclosure measures just 13.2 x 14.7 x 2.6 inches (336 × 374 × 66 mm), providing a space-efficient footprint without sacrificing internal component layout or power supply capacity.

Front panel operation

The front panel combines a clear display with simple controls for power, input selection, mute, and volume adjustment. A remote control is included for convenient operation from the listening position.
