Multi-Source Streaming DAC

Simplified integration

The TS-1 folds a streamer, DAC, and headphone amplifier into a unified platform built for daily listening. Streaming protocols, local storage, USB audio, and analog passthrough all operate within a single signal path, reducing the need for separate boxes and cabling. You move from headphones to active speakers without reconfiguring your chain, keeping the focus on the music source you choose.

Hi-Fi streaming platform

Powered by the same streaming hardware used in the Matrix Audio M Series, the TS-1 runs the MA Player OS with a smooth control layer through the MA Remote App. The upgraded display and responsive interface make browsing libraries and services straightforward across iOS and Android devices. The result is stable streaming performance with clear visibility into source, format, and system status.

Wide streaming access

The device connects directly to TIDAL, Qobuz, HIGHRESAUDIO, and internet radio while supporting Roon Ready, TIDAL Connect, Audirvana, Spotify Connect, AirPlay2, QPlay, and UPnP/DLNA. These services and protocols allow you to treat the TS-1 as the primary digital node in your home network. Whether your music lives in cloud storage or subscription platforms, the TS-1 brings it into a consolidated signal chain.

Versatile inputs

Six input interfaces—optical, coaxial, RCA analog, HDMI ARC, and USB audio—support everything from turntables with phono stages to televisions and computers. You can centralize media sources in one location, reducing device sprawl and keeping switching intuitive through the IR remote or MA Remote App.

XLR and RCA output design

The balanced and single-ended analog outputs make it easy to power active monitors on a desk or in a living room. Two selectable output voltage modes help match the gain of different speakers, preventing signal overload while preserving dynamics. With fewer components to manage, your listening space stays clean and predictable.

Subwoofer integration

A dedicated subwoofer output handles content below 150 Hz and synchronizes with the line-level volume. It supports a natural 2.1-channel extension for small active speakers that need deeper low-frequency reach. Music playback and TV audio benefit from the added low-end presence without introducing complexity.

Discrete headphone amplifier

The 6.35 mm and 4.4 mm outputs feed a fully balanced, high-bias discrete amplifier with a 1-ohm output impedance. Low-impedance IEMs stay quiet and controlled, while high-impedance headphones receive the voltage swing they need. The tuning supports extended treble with a restrained upper edge for long sessions. A two-level output voltage mode adapts to the headphones you use most often.

Fully balanced AKM DAC

Two AK4493SEQ chips—one per channel—run in parallel to elevate dynamic range and channel separation. Independent power for each DAC, supported by dual ultra-low-noise LDO regulators, allows the converters to operate without cross-interference. More stable current delivery leads to cleaner low-level detail and controlled imaging. THD+N and SNR remain consistent across balanced and single-ended output paths.

Layered circuit architecture

Analog and digital circuits occupy separate PCB layers, with the analog stage on top and the digital stage below. The separation limits interference and improves thermal behavior for the high-bias headphone amplifier. A symmetrical left-right analog layout stabilizes signal flow at the board level, maintaining predictable performance over long-term use.

Femtosecond clocking

Two ultra-low-phase-noise femtosecond clocks independently serve 44.1 kHz and 48 kHz families, powered by isolated low-noise regulators. The FPGA manages frequency switching and division, keeping jitter low across PCM and DSD decoding. Digital timing remains stable during high-resolution streaming and local playback.

Local and cloud libraries

Connect a NAS or supported cloud drive and assemble a unified library directly within the TS-1. Files can be copied into internal storage from the MA Remote App, allowing you to consolidate source material on the device. It becomes the center of a home media library without relying on external computers.

CD archiving

A USB CD drive can be connected for CD-to-digital conversion, managed through the MA Remote App. The TS-1 stores the resulting files internally, pairing the reliability of CD playback with the flexibility of local digital access. Your collection becomes easier to browse and play while maintaining the sonic consistency of the original discs.

Quiet NVMe storage

The NVMe SSD slot at the base of the chassis adds fast internal storage with a dedicated ultra-low-noise power supply. This isolated supply keeps electrical noise lower than typical computer environments, helping preserve DAC performance even when the library expands.

Network sharing

SMB sharing allows computers on the same network to read and manage the TS-1’s storage. The device can also act as a NAS for other streamers, giving your system a centralized library point. File management stays simple and accessible without additional hardware.

Flexible connectivity

Wi-Fi 6 provides convenient placement options when running Ethernet is impractical. Wired connections remain recommended for the highest stability during high-resolution streaming, but Wi-Fi 6 maintains steady performance in most home environments.

Linear power option

The DC input enables use of an external linear power supply. When external power is connected, the TS-1 automatically prioritizes it while isolating the AC supply. Internal filtering and low-noise regulators feed each circuit stage with stable current, reinforcing signal integrity at every level.
