ASTRU single dynamic driver in-ear monitor

ASTRU is more than an in-ear monitor—it is a statement piece built around a single dynamic driver and a full-titanium design. It delivers a punchy, full-bodied sound with rich detail, combining the layering and imaging often associated with multi-driver designs with the tonal density and natural warmth of a dynamic driver, all within a cohesive and unified presentation.

Visceral sound

ASTRU moves beyond passive listening into a presentation that feels tangible. The sound is dense, immersive, and engaging—delivering realistic impact, natural weight, and a sense of physical presence across the frequency range.

Unique to the core

At the center of ASTRU is a high-performance single dynamic driver built with a multilayer metal-coated composite diaphragm. This architecture is engineered for control, refinement, and consistency, preserving the integrity of the signal from source to ear.

Multilayer coating

The diaphragm dome is constructed through a multi-stage process. An outer gold coating is applied in 80 ultra-thin layers using physical vacuum DC magnetron sputtering over 48 hours, followed by a titanium layer bonded to a PEEK dome base. This structure contributes to smoother high frequencies, improved extension, and more natural transient response.

Sound that breathes

A rear vent equalizes pressure between the driver’s back cavity and the exterior environment. This allows unrestricted low-frequency excursion for extended sub-bass and bass output below 200 Hz, while continuously relieving ear canal pressure for fatigue-free long-term listening.

Pure titanium shell

The housing is CNC-machined from a single block of pure titanium into a one-piece construction. It is then refined through a multi-stage electroplating process to achieve a smooth satin finish that enhances comfort. Each matched pair of shells requires up to seven days of processing.

Ethereal comfort

Building on the ergonomic foundations of earlier designs, ASTRU follows the natural contours of the ear with precision. The refined shell geometry eliminates pressure points and hotspots, allowing the earphones to disappear during extended listening sessions.

High-quality cable

The included cable measures 3.9 ft (1.2 m) and uses silver-plated Linear Crystal Oxygen-Free Copper (LC-OFC) conductors in a dual-strand configuration with 161 conductors per strand. It is insulated in SoftFlex PVC for flexibility and comfort, with CNC-anodized aluminum housings and a gold-plated 4.4 mm balanced termination for reliable, high-quality signal transmission.
