Meze has elevated the art of portable high-fidelity listening with the introduction of the LIRIC II, an evolution of the original LIRIC's closed-back planar magnetic design. This second generation maintains the timeless design language of Meze's top-tier headphones while offering an advanced isodynamic setup that promises an audio experience of unmatched clarity and warmth.

A tuned-up sound profile

Fusing Meze Audio's industrial design capabilities with Rinaro's technological development, LIRIC (2nd Generation) brings a new flavour for all the active audiophiles, who take their music on the go, proposing a refined sound, falling in between a balanced and warm profile. To achieve this, the Quarter Wavelength Resonator Mask (QWRM) was developed, a precision-crafted metal component that strategically covers select openings in the driver frame, to effectively attenuate high-frequency peaks above 7kHz for a less fatiguing listening experience.

Inspired design

Coming from a tradition of Maramures craftsmanship, Meze decided to preserve the design language of the original LIRIC, but warm it up with the introduction of wood for the ear cups. This journey led them to discover the most potent fit in Macassar ebony –a heavy, dense, aesthetically pleasing hardwood known for its deep, rich brown coloration punctuated by intricate golden-brown stripes. The distinctive nature of Macassar ebony means that each pair is inherently sui generis, or unique in its essence. This characteristic ensures that every headphone is not just a tool for experiencing music, but a personal statement piece with its own story and character.

Designed for life

In the spirit of natural evolution, LIRIC (2nd Generation) joins the Meze Audio family of products with detachable magnetic ear pads. This ultimately translates into enhanced reliability and serviceability, characteristics that audiophiles and music enthusiasts worldwide have grown accustomed to.

Quality in every aspect

Meze's premium hand-braided copper cable now serves as the stock cable for LIRIC (2nd Generation). They've focused their efforts towards enhancing the listening experience, offering a 4.4 mm termination premium cable suitable for most portable headphone amplifiers, as well as a 3m soft TPE cable with a 3.5 mm jack, ideal for home headphone setups.

Rinaro Isodynamic Hybrid Array Driver

Meze Audio and Rinaro Isodynamics continue their collaboration with the LIRIC II. Combining the outstanding mechanical design and ergonomics of Meze Audio with the signature technology and acoustic engineering of Rinaro, LIRIC II is here to set a new standard in top-of-the-line headphone performance.

Magnetic detachable ear pads

The newly designed ear pads feature a detachable magnetic system, simplifying maintenance and replacement. Spend less time fussing with your gear and more time sunk into your music. 

Lightweight magnesium skeleton

A lightweight magnesium skeleton ensures that the headphone stays flexible, shock resistant, and oxidant free, while maintaining an ideal fit for long listening sessions. 

Optimal airflow control

The padded headband cushions are symmetrically placed in a “+” shape to encourage air flow, which lowers heat and humidity buildup. Covered in genuine leather, the headband is perfectly tuned for optimal pressure distribution--it follows the structure of the head, creating firm and even contact. 

Ergonomic ovoid shape

The angled ovoid ear cup shape surrounds your ears, offering deep acoustics and passive sound isolation without adding uncomfortable pressure or weight.

Love at first touch

Each of the LIRIC II’s textures were carefully selected to complement the others, creating a tactile experience you’ll love at first contact. Referencing the textures found on professional photo cameras, the LIRIC II’s shells demonstrate outstanding wear resistance. 

Pressure equalization system

Precisely tuned air vent holes on each of the LIRIC II’s ear cups make a world of difference in how you perceive the sound. Dubbed the Pressure Equalization System, these vents control airflow and improve ear cup chamber pressure, resulting in sound that is airy, transparent, and detailed.
