What’s new in Dawn Pro 2
The original Dawn Pro used dual Cirrus Logic CS43131 DACs. The Dawn Pro 2 raises the bar with dual flagship CS43198 chips, paired with independent power regulation and a dedicated crystal oscillator for lower noise and more precise decoding. On top of that, it introduces Moondrop’s second-generation DSP engine, accessible through both Android and web browsers. This lets you fine-tune EQ curves, apply Auto EQ, and even share profiles with the community.
Dual flagship DAC architecture
At its heart are two CS43198 decoding chips from Cirrus Logic, working in tandem with three independent LDO power supplies and a dedicated crystal oscillator. This layout ensures high-efficiency, low-noise performance with a clean digital-to-analog conversion path. The Dawn Pro 2 supports PCM up to 32-bit/384kHz and native DSD256 for uncompromised decoding.
Second-generation online interactive DSP
The Dawn Pro 2 introduces Moondrop’s latest DSP engine, accessible through the Moondrop Android app or web interface. This allows precise parameter adjustments—filter type, frequency point, gain, and Q value—using a professional tuning interface. A continuously updated library of headphone frequency response curves provides starting points for EQ, while one-click Auto EQ functions simplify the process even further.

Just don’t mash the button—underneath is a finely tuned electronic switch.
Master-level measurements
With a measured 132dB dynamic range and THD+N as low as 0.0001%, the Dawn Pro 2 keeps the noise floor so low it practically disappears. Quiet passages stay quiet, loud ones hit with impact, and distortion is below the threshold of audibility.
