Moondrop LAN 2 IEMs
Two flavors of sound
The Moondrop Lan II is built around a new dynamic driver system, stainless steel housing, and a glass dome diaphragm that pushes detail, clarity, and control further than the first-generation Lan. But the bigger news is choice. Lan II comes in two variants—Lan II_REF and Lan II_POP—each with a different tuning philosophy. REF leans into mid-highs and spatial detail, making it a natural fit for classical and instrumental music. POP lifts the mid-bass and vocal region, adding warmth and body for pop and vocal-focused listening. Whichever you pick, you’re getting the same advanced driver, materials, and build, just tailored differently for your library.
A diaphragm made of glass
At the heart of the Lan II is a composite diaphragm capped with a solid glass dome, just 0.05mm thick. Glass has both high stiffness and strong internal damping. That means treble extension and resolution that traditional polymer diaphragms struggle to reach, plus distortion kept to a minimum. The flexible suspension lets the diaphragm travel linearly, giving you both clean highs and dynamic impact in the lows.
Dual magnetic drive power
The 10mm driver uses a composite dual-magnetic circuit—two concentric N52 magnets, internal and external—optimized using finite element simulation. This design creates a magnetic flux density of over 1 Tesla in the gap, giving the voice coil a stable, uniform field to work in. The result is greater efficiency, better control, and smoother dynamic swings at every volume.
Stainless steel housing, refined by MIM
The shell of the Lan II is made from stainless steel using Metal Injection Molding (MIM). This process allows precise shaping, high strength, and a refined texture you can see and feel. Laser-engraved details nod to the original Lan but add new flourishes for a more defined look. Despite the durability of steel, the shells stay compact and comfortable.
Tuned for your music
Lan II_REF pushes clarity in the mid-highs, widening the stage and helping strings, horns, and acoustic instruments breathe. Lan II_POP builds body in the mid-bass and vocal region, adding warmth and weight that suits modern genres. Both maintain consistency with Moondrop’s VDSF Target, with extended treble performance that exceeds the first-generation Lan.
Cables that adapt with you
Both versions come with a high-purity oxygen-free copper balanced cable (4.4mm), plus a 3.5mm adapter. The two-pin 0.78mm connector means you can easily swap in other cables—balanced, stage monitoring, mic for gaming, even Bluetooth adapters. Lan II keeps your options open without locking you into one system.
