"Mediocre sound initially to my ears"

As an audiophile, you're often faced with tough choices—sacrificing sound quality for portability, dealing with latency in wireless connections, or struggling with noise cancelation that compromises your music. The Moondrop Ultrasonic Hybrid ANC IEMs are designed to solve these problems. With a blend of advanced drivers, high-resolution transmission protocols, and intelligent noise-canceling technology, the Ultrasonic makes it so you don’t have to choose between convenience and top-tier audio performance.
At the heart of the Ultrasonic’s pristine high-frequency response is the FRA direct-radiation balanced armature tweeter. Utilizing a lithium-magnesium alloy diaphragm, this driver delivers a wider ultra-high-frequency range by reducing standing waves—a common issue in traditional balanced armature designs. The result is an extended yet natural treble that lets you catch every detail.
For a full-bodied sound across the bass and mid-range frequencies, the Ultrasonic relies on a 13mm sapphire-coated dynamic driver. This driver, combined with an equidistant transmission two-way crossover, ensures accurate phase connection and restores the soundstage and timbre with impressive clarity. Whether it's a thumping bass line or sultry mid-range vocals, the Ultrasonic keeps it all in perfect harmony.
High-resolution music deserves high-resolution transmission. With support for the LDAC codec, the Ultrasonic can handle bit rates as high as 990kbps, transmitting 24-bit/96kHz audio files with ease. This means you get the full dynamic range and detail of your favorite tracks, without any loss in quality during transmission. No wires, no problem.
When it’s time to switch gears, the LC3 low delay high-definition audio transport protocol is ready to provide a seamless experience. Designed for the new generation of Bluetooth LE Audio, LC3 ensures significantly lower latency while maintaining excellent high-fidelity signal transmission. So whether you're in game mode or streaming music, you can trust that Ultrasonic will deliver—on time and in full.
Noise cancellation that doesn’t sacrifice sound quality—that’s the promise of the Ultrasonic’s wide-band ANC. By opting for a single feedforward noise cancelation method, these IEMs avoid the bass loss typically associated with feedback designs. Moondrop’s acoustic engineers have fine-tuned the system to achieve excellent noise cancellation while keeping your music quality intact.
Sometimes you need to stay aware of your surroundings without hitting pause. Ultrasonic’s ambient sound transparency mode has been fine-tuned to bring you the details you need—from traffic sounds to conversations—without distorting your music.
With the Moondrop Link APP, you can switch between five different tunings, each crafted for specific listening preferences. Whether you’re after cleaner tones with “Monitor” or craving the atmospheric bass of “Club,” the Ultrasonic makes it easy to dial in the sound that suits your mood.
The Ultrasonic IEMs are built for convenience. Automatic reconnection and seamless switching between monaural and binaural modes ensure you never miss a beat. Plus, thanks to mirror image technology, your connection stays strong even when one or both earpieces return to the charging case.

"A hell of a buy. The audio quality--and battery life--is impressive. I'm so impressed by what you can get for under $100."

"Really freaking cool looking. Really solid ANC--does a great job eliminating ambient noise. Decent bass extension. Punchy and visceral mid-bass. Relaxing and pleasing vocal range. Noticeable roll-off of the treble results in an overall dark-sounding headphone."

"Mediocre sound initially to my ears"
"I use these mainly for riding the bus, where active noise reduction effectively suppresses loud continuous motor noise. Sound quality is smooth and extended. Very satisfied overall - but when it's windy, wind currents generate a lot of noise. . . perhaps due to the rectangular shape of the posts?"
"These are incredible especially for the price. the Eartips could be improved and the software could have an option to eq the way you want, and those are the only complaints I have. The transparency mode is wonderful, if you listen to podcasts it almost sounds as if they're in the room with you. The preset eq represents what these earbuds are about fairly accurately, definitely not something you want if you're producing but if you are I probably shouldn't have to tell you that. Battery life is good too!"
"Sound is better and clearer than many bluetooth earbuds. A bit base heavy but most people prefer that. Definitely not as bad as Bose earbuds. The case is horrible. Difficult to pull out the earbuds. Bulky and made of cheap plastic. Hinge will not last and break soon. I wish the earbuds had sensors to tell when you remove it from your ear so it can stop/start music. I would not buy this again unless they change the case."
"Holy crap!! Hands down the best 75.00 dollars I’ve ever spent in my life. These buds are fantastic. I’m listening right out of the box for this review and with each song they are breaking in and getting better. I’m only talking about sound quality. I don’t know about battery or drop outs or any of that. But they are slightly recessed. I’d love a wired pair of these Moondrop. I’d like to drive them a tiny bit harder. Recessed may just be how new they are. They are getting warmer as I listen. Tight, musical. Forward vocals. Tight deep bass. Giving my AirPod Pros some serious competition. Maybe topple them. When I read Moondrop incorporated a samphire coated 13mm diaphragm I knew they would perform well. I used to have these cherished Sony wired buds from back in the mid 90s that incorporated a 15mm sapphire coated diaphragm and they were my first taste of a good diaphragm earbud. Btw, they were 95.00 then and these are 75.00 with dual drivers and a more in ear canal fit that’s very comfy for my ear shape. Highly highly recommend these."
