Electrostatic amplification with an AKM DAC

The STAX SRM-D10 II combines a USB DAC and electrostatic headphone amplifier in an aluminum alloy enclosure. Its AKM 4493 decoding chip supports PCM up to 384kHz/32-bit and DSD256, while USB-C digital and 3.5mm analog inputs give you two ways to connect your music. A 580V DC Pro bias supply supports all STAX PRO-type Earspeakers.

High-resolution decoding with AKM

An AKM 4493 DAC handles digital-to-analog conversion for USB audio. Support for PCM up to 384kHz/32-bit and DSD256 lets you play high-resolution recordings through a single DAC and amplifier.

Amplification for electrostatic headphones

The SRM-D10 II pairs a dedicated electrostatic amplifier with high-quality audio capacitors. Its 580V DC bias supply provides the operating bias required by STAX PRO-type headphones, giving you compatibility across the STAX PRO Earspeaker range.

Digital and analog connections

Use the USB-C digital audio input to connect a compatible digital source, or feed an analog signal into the 3.5mm input from an external DAC or player. Both routes give your source access to the SRM-D10 II’s electrostatic amplification.

USB-C battery charging

A USB-C 3.0 charging connection replenishes the battery. Separate USB-C connections for charging and digital audio give each function its own port.

A durable aluminum enclosure

The aluminum alloy shell provides strength and corrosion resistance while protecting the electronics inside. The SRM-D10 II also includes a one-year U.S. limited warranty.
