The STAX SR-L700 is an open-back electrostatic earspeaker that combines a thin-film diaphragm with precision stainless steel electrodes. Its presentation balances deep bass, a smooth midrange, and delicate high frequencies. A 10-position adjustable headband, lamb leather ear pads, and a low-capacitance silver-coated copper cable support comfortable listening and precise signal delivery.

A thin-film diaphragm for balanced sound

The SR-L700 uses the hand-selected thin-film diaphragm employed in the SR-009. Its fixed electrodes are manufactured through three-layer stainless steel etching and heat diffusion bonding. Together, these components support rich bass response, clear midrange reproduction, and fine treble detail across a specified frequency range of 7Hz to 41kHz.

A headband that holds your adjustment

Adapted from the SR-009, the headband’s 10-click slider lets you adjust the head pad height in defined increments. Once selected, the position stays in place to maintain a consistent fit between listening sessions.

Silver-coated copper in a low-capacitance cable

A silver-coated 6N copper cable carries the signal through a wide, parallel six-strand structure. This arrangement reduces capacitance between conductors to suit the electrical requirements of an electrostatic earspeaker. The 8.2-foot (2.5m) cable provides room to sit comfortably beside your audio system.

Lamb leather pads

The handcrafted ear pads use genuine lamb leather on the surfaces that contact your skin, with high-quality synthetic leather around the surrounding portions. Their design supports both listening comfort and acoustic performance during extended sessions.
