xDuoo BD34302 second-generation MUS-IC DAC module

The xDuoo BD34302 DAC module brings ROHM’s second-generation MUS-IC BD34302EKV-E2 converter to your XD05 Pro or TA-32. It replaces the existing DAC module while keeping the rest of your device in service. xDuoo’s beta testers describe a balanced presentation with natural vocals, smooth treble, and a spacious soundstage.

This is a DAC module only. The XD05 Pro and TA-32 are sold separately.

A different sound from your existing device

The interchangeable design lets you change the digital-to-analog conversion stage of your XD05 Pro or TA-32. The BD34302 joins a module range that includes BD34301, ES9039SPRO, AK4499EX, WM8741, and R2R options, giving you several ways to tailor the sound of a compatible unit.

Second-generation ROHM conversion

The BD34302EKV-E2 is a two-channel, 32-bit DAC from ROHM’s MUS-IC series. Its design builds on the series’ focus on spatial reverberation, low noise, and dynamic range, with added attention to reproducing the texture of musical instruments. ROHM lists typical chip performance of -117 dB THD+N and 130 dB signal-to-noise ratio. Complete-device measurements are listed separately below.

Natural vocals and room to hear the arrangement

In xDuoo’s beta listening comparisons with the earlier BD34301 module, participants reported more natural vocal reproduction, smoother high frequencies, firmer bass control, and clearer separation in dense arrangements. They also described greater soundstage width, height, and depth. These are subjective listening impressions, with results varying by headphones, source material, and listener.

A smoother option alongside ESS

Beta testers comparing the BD34302 with the ES9039SPRO module characterized the ROHM option as more relaxed and forgiving during long listening sessions. Their feedback highlighted vocals, small ensembles, live recordings, and pop as appealing matches. Listeners who favor a more immediate and energetic orchestral presentation may prefer the ES9039SPRO module.

Support for op-amp changes

The analog output stage supports op-amp rolling for further sound adjustment. xDuoo’s beta test references list the stock LM49720 alongside optional SS3602 and AD8620BR op-amps. Optional op-amps are sold separately.

Installation without soldering

Installation requires removing and reinstalling screws. Power off the compatible device before changing modules, and protect the module from static electricity, moisture, and drops.
