NEW: Burson Fully Discrete Class-A IEM Module
Burson adds a discrete amplification option for IEM listeners
The Burson Fully Discrete Class-A IEM Module is an optional plug-in upgrade for the Conductor Stellar, Soloist Stellar, and Soloist Prime. It replaces the standard TPA6120A2-based IEM stage with a fully discrete, dual-mono circuit delivering 1W through balanced XLR. Dedicated DC supply filtering addresses the low-noise requirements of sensitive in-ear monitors.
A discrete circuit for IEM amplification
The module replaces the standard integrated amplifier chip with a circuit assembled from individual components. This gives Burson control over component selection, circuit layout, and biasing within a dedicated IEM amplification stage.
Pure Class-A operation keeps the amplification devices conducting throughout the audio waveform. A custom-machined heatsink dissipates the heat associated with deeper Class-A bias, using a sculpted profile inspired by the Burson Voyager.
Separate amplification for each channel
A true dual-mono architecture provides separate amplification circuits for the left and right channels. The mirror-symmetrical layout gives both channels a consistent circuit arrangement, supporting channel separation and balanced stereo reproduction.
Power filtering for sensitive earphones
High-sensitivity IEMs can reveal residual amplifier noise even at low listening levels. Dedicated Silent Power modules filter the DC supply to reduce power-supply noise reaching the amplification circuit. This filtering complements the discrete stage’s design for use with sensitive earphones.
A plug-in upgrade for compatible Burson amplifiers
The module delivers 1W through the host amplifier’s balanced XLR output and fits the Conductor Stellar, Soloist Stellar, and Soloist Prime. Owners of these models can add Burson’s discrete Class-A IEM stage by replacing the standard TPA6120A2-based module. Confirm your amplifier model before ordering.
