NEW: BURSON SOLOIST PRIME HEADPHONE POWER AMPLIFIER

Dual-Mono Design with a Dedicated IEM Stage

The Burson Soloist Prime is a pure Class-A headphone power amplifier with true dual-mono architecture, V7 Vivid Pro discrete opamps, and up to 12W per channel through balanced XLR. Part of Burson’s flagship Voyager Series, it pairs a main headphone amplifier with dedicated, independently powered IEM amplification. Deluxe and Max versions offer different power supplies and IEM stages for systems with upstream volume control.

A dedicated headphone power amplifier

The Soloist Prime leaves volume adjustment to a connected DAC, streamer, or preamplifier. Removing duplicated volume controls and preamplifier functions gives its circuitry a dedicated role in supplying power to headphones. Your connected source must provide volume control.

High-performance MOSFET power transistors operate with deep Class-A bias, supporting up to 12W per channel through balanced XLR for demanding planar magnetic and dynamic headphones. Optimized ventilation manages heat during Class-A operation and supports stable performance.

Separate channels and shielded circuitry

True dual-mono architecture gives the left and right channels separate, mirror-symmetrical circuitry. A two-layer construction places power circuitry above the amplification circuitry, with independently powered, custom-shielded sections designed to limit electrical interference within the chassis.

Both versions include Burson’s V7 Vivid Pro discrete opamps and Silent Power Module 02 with LT3045 voltage regulation. The power module has a specified noise level of 0.8 µV RMS. That figure describes the module’s power-supply noise, rather than residual noise at the amplifier’s headphone outputs.

Deluxe: dedicated amplification for IEMs

The Soloist Prime Deluxe includes the Super Charger 5A power supply and an independently powered IEM module using two TPA6120A2 amplifier chips. This gives sensitive IEMs a dedicated amplification stage alongside the main headphone power amplifier.

Deluxe also includes Silent Power Module 02, V7 Vivid Pro discrete opamps, and a dual-tone remote.

Max: fully discrete Class-A IEM amplification

The Soloist Prime Max adds the Fusion Core 24V GaN power supply and upgrades the IEM module to a fully discrete Class-A design. Its true dual-mono, mirror-symmetrical circuitry is purpose-built for sensitive, low-impedance IEMs, with 10W of idle power consumption.

Max includes both the Super Charger 5A and Fusion Core supplies, along with Silent Power Module 02, V7 Vivid Pro discrete opamps, and a Burson universal remote. The Fusion Core is designed to provide low-noise, high-current power.
