Compendium updated February 24th, 2021
To fully experience the cinematic universe of an RPG or to compete at high levels of a battle royale, you need a proper sound rig. But is this easier said than done? With products like the Schiit Fulla 3, it’s actually quite simple--and cheap.
We’ve compiled reviews from across the web for your reference. What you’ll find here are the TLDR versions of the full reviews (which you can access with the provided links). We’ll continue updating this compendium as reviews come in.
From Z Reviews' review of the Schiit Fulla 3, first published on July 7th, 2020:
“This fills a spot in the market that is not doable for cheaper than this.”
“The volume knob is very large--very large knob.”
“Unless it sounded like absolute garbage--which it doesn’t--I have no reason not to give this a full endorsement. I didn’t even have to review it! It’s just a matter of me letting you know it exists.”
From Home Theater Review's review of the Schiit Fulla 3, first published on April 22nd, 2020:
“If you have a relatively easy-to-drive gaming headset or a headphone/mic combo setup that needs more oomph than your motherboard can deliver, but you want to spend as little as possible on a meaningful upgrade, the Schiit Fulla 3 is a compelling little overachiever that deserves your attention. Add preamp capabilities – in other word, the ability to drive powered monitors and provide at-your-fingertips volume control - – and it would be hard to argue that this isn't one hell of a value. True, isn't an incredibly simple sound solution that lacks many of the features found on other gaming DAC/headphone amps, but that's part of the appeal.
"Quite frankly, if not for Schiit's Hel High-Powered Gaming DAC/Headphone Amp, which has a handful of features that speak to my specific needs and an appreciable step up in performance, I wouldn't hesitate to drop $100-ish on the Fulla 3 to handle all of my desktop audio needs.”
From Tweak Town's review of the Schiit Fulla 3, first published on October 17th, 2020:
“I think the Fulla 3 is aimed at gamers who are looking to break into the gaming audio market, and for the price, I feel like the Fulla 3 is one of, if not the best option you could choose...
“All in all, I think Schiit has created an awesome DAC/amp combo at a fitting price point. The overall design and build quality of the Fulla 3 is superb, as well as the positive punch to sound quality and volume. If I were looking at buying an entry-level DAC for my setup and didn't want to mess around with any software, I would be looking directly at the Fulla 3. Fantastic work here Schiit, I cannot wait to see what you are going to come up with in future iterations of this product.”
From Audio Stance's review of the Schiit Fulla 3, first published on March 2nd, 2020:
“Essentially, Schiit’s Fulla 3 is one of the most well-rounded mid-priced digital-to-analog converter units on the market. It’s remarkably easy to use, it sounds powerful, and it performs marvelously well in the hands of both beginners and professionals.”
From MMORPG's review of the Schiit Fulla 3, first published on November 20th, 2019:
“For $99, the Fulla 3 from Schiit Audio is an excellent buy. It delivers excellent audio with its AK4490 pre-amp and offers lots of headroom for all but very high impedance headphones. If you’re looking for a small solution to buy into high-end audio for the first time, the Fulla 3 is a solid option.”
From The Gamer's review of the Schiit Fulla 3, first published on January 2nd, 2020:
“With its low price to entry, the Fulla 3 from Schiit Audio is the perfect way for gamers to begin experiencing the best possible sound in their games and from their music. Its small size will make sure it is never cumbersome or in the way, and Schiit has a long reputation of offering great audio products. If ever there was a perfect launching point to get into high-quality audio, this is it.”
