WhiteFox Eclipse Shipping Timeline Update

Welcome back to our WhiteFox Eclipse Road to Fulfillment series, where we’ve taken you through the design innovations and technological advancements that set the WhiteFox Eclipse keyboard apart. Every journey has its bumps, and this one is no exception. Despite the meticulous planning poured into the WhiteFox Eclipse, Alpaca Keyboards, the designer and manufacturer, encountered an unexpected challenge that we want to make you aware of. Alpaca has informed us of a necessary delay in the shipping schedule, with orders being shipped out by the end of November.

The decision, made by the WhiteFox team, comes after their quality control processes identified an issue with the keyboard plate. During this QC process, they found an issue with the plate: a large percentage of switches were coming loose during keycap replacement. This was an issue created due to the materials used for the plate that resulted in the plate having slighter higher tolerances than desired. To rectify this, the decision was made to upgrade the plate component. Subsequently, a color inconsistency was identified in the new batch of plates, prompting a necessary reprinting to ensure the color met the specifications for the WhiteFox Eclipse.
